House 24 is located in a quiet area of East Glacier Park on the
north edge of town. It has two plush queen beds, one in a
separate bedroom, a nice sized bathroom with a tub/shower
combination, a full kitchen completely furnished plus a microwave
and coffee pot, satellite TV and good cell phone reception. There
is a spacious landscaped yard with picnic table, large cottonwood
shade trees and beautiful mountain views of Glacier National
Park. Housekeeping service is included and a free breakfast.
It is within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, golfing,
fishing, hiking trails, bus tours and horse riding. Car rentals,
Amtrak Station, churches, library and all services are available in
town. East Glacier Park is the gateway town to the spectacular
east side of Glacier National Park, where a full range of
recreational opportunities await. Short rides will take you to
magnificent scenery, wildlife viewing, boat rides on mountain
lakes, hiking trails, picnic areas, sunsets, sunrises and alpenglow
in the Two Medicine, St. Mary's and Many Glacier Valleys.
Going-to-the-Sun Highway, one of the most famous roads in the
world, follows up St. Mary's Valley, over the Continental Divide
surrounded by breathtaking vistas of snow capped peaks,
mountain glaciers and the Garden Wall. Grizzly bears, mountain
goats, mountain sheep, elk and moose are commonly seen right
from the road.
The Park offers guided nature walks and evening programs at
many locations. Lots of restaurants, shopping, information
centers and other services are available all along the way. At the
end of your day relax on your porch in the cool fresh mountain
air. Nightlife can be found in town for those so inclined.
